THE GLORY OF LORD OF HOSTS!

Then Elijah said, “As the Lord of Hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to Him today.”

Psalms 19:1

The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork.

Psalms 24:8,10

[8]Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, The Lord mighty in battle.

[10]Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah

Psalms 72:19

And blessed be His glorious name forever! And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen.

Psalms 97:1,5-6,9

[1]The Lord reigns; Let the earth rejoice; Let the multitude of isles be glad!

[5]The mountains melt like wax at the presence of the Lord, At the presence of the Lord of the whole earth.

[6]The heavens declare His righteousness, And all the peoples see His glory.

[9]For You, Lord, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods.

Isaiah 2:12

[12]For the day of the Lord of Hosts Shall come upon everything proud and lofty, Upon everything lifted up— And it shall be brought low—

Isaiah 6:3

And one cried to another and said: “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts; The whole earth is full of His glory!”

Isaiah 8:18

Here am I and the children whom the Lord has given me! We are for signs and wonders in Israel From the Lord of hosts, Who dwells in Mount Zion.

Jeremiah 31:35

Thus says the Lord, Who gives the sun for a light by day, The ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night, Who disturbs the sea, And its waves roar (The Lord of Hosts is His name):

Haggai 2:8-9

[8]‘The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,’ says the Lord of Hosts.

[9]‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of Hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of Hosts.” The People Are Defiled

Zechariah 8:20-21

[20]“Thus says the Lord of Hosts: ‘Peoples shall yet come, Inhabitants of many cities;

[21]The inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, “Let us continue to go and pray before the Lord, And seek the Lord of Hosts. I myself will go also.”

Malachi 3:17-18

[17]“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of Hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.”

[18]Then you shall again discern Between the righteous and the wicked, Between one who serves God And one who does not serve Him.

LEARNING SIGNS OF THE TIMES!

Joel 2:27-28

[27]Then you shall know that I am in the midst of Israel: I am the Lord your God And there is no other. My people shall never be put to shame. God’s Spirit Poured Out

[28]“All I'll ML lnd it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions.

Daniel 12:1-4,8-9

[1]...And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book.

[2]And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt.

[3]Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever.

[4]“But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”

[8]Although I heard, I did not understand. Then I said, “My lord, what shall be the end of these things? ”

[9]And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.

Matthew 24:4-8

[4]And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

[5]For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

[6]And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

[7]For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.

[8]All these are the beginning of sorrows.

Mark 13:4-8,12-13,18-19,22

[4]“Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign when all these things will be fulfilled?”

[5]And Jesus, answering them, began to say: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

[6]For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He, ’ and will deceive many.

[7]But when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be troubled; for such things must happen, but the end is not yet.

[8]For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be earthquakes in various places, and there will be famines and troubles. These are the beginnings of sorrows.

[12]Now brother will betray brother to death, and a father his child; and children will rise up against parents and cause them to be put to death.

[13]And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. The Great Tribulation.

[18]And pray that your flight may not be in winter.

[19]For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the creation which God created until this time, nor ever shall be.

[22]For false christs and false prophets will rise and show signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.

2 Timothy 3:1-7

[1]But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come:

[2]For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

[3]unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good,

[4]traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

[5]having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!

[6]For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts,

[7]always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

2 Peter 3:3-4,9,17

[3]knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts,

[4]and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

[9]The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. The Day of the Lord

[17]You therefore, beloved, since you know this beforehand, beware lest you also fall from your own steadfastness, being led away with the error of the wicked.

THIRST FOR LIVING WATER, PART II

Oasis in Libya

Psalms 42:1-2

[1]As the deer pants for the water brooks, So pants my soul for You, O God.

[2]My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Psalms 63:1

O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water.

Luke 5:1,12-13

[1]So it was, as the multitude pressed about Him to hear the word of God, that He stood by the Lake of Gennesaret,

[12]And it happened when He was in a certain city, that behold, a man who was full of leprosy saw Jesus; and he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.”

[13]Then He put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately the leprosy left him.

John 6:35

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

1 Corinthians 10:1,3-4

[1]Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea,

[3]all ate the same spiritual food,

[4]and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ.

THIRST FOR LIVING WATER!

Libyan Desert

John 4:13-14

13 Jesus answered and said to her ( Woman of Samaria), “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again,

14 But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”

John 6:35

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.

John 7:37-38

[37]On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.

[38]He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”

Revelation 7:16-17

[16]They shall neither hunger anymore nor thirst anymore; the sun shall not strike them, nor any heat;

[17]for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.”

Revelation 21:6

And He said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

Colossians 4:6

[15]Nor do they LIGHT a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives LIGHT to all who are in the house.

[16]Let your LIGHT so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Christ Fulfills the Law.

Ephesians 5:8

For you were once darkness, but now you are LIGHT in the Lord. Walk as children of LIGHT.

1 John 1:7

SENIOR LADY: VISITORS IN MY GARDEN!

I was glancing over my container garden recently.

I noticed movement behind my potting soil.

Four pairs of shiny eyes were looking at me.

A feral cat had delivered four kittens in my

garden. The mother cat  was gone. Her four

kittens were left behind my bags of potting

soil. They were purring soft meows. Although

they were sweet and cute, I was not happy

to see them. All I could envision was the havoc

they could do to my garden. I really thought my

chasing away the backyard feral cats was working.

My Mom befriended two feral cats 6 months ago.

One cat  is tortoise shell and the other one is a

orange tabby. I would scold them if they came

near my garden. I hadn't seen any cats in my

garden until yesterday.  I left to run errands.

This was the scene I saw when I returned home:

I called my Mom outside, so she would see

could see my distress. She was overjoyed.

I explained to her how my garden would

be ruined. I also mentioned that some

female cats bear kittens every two months!

It seemed like that cat was nursing her

kittens all day! I let her stay in the garden.

Only because I hoped the forecasted storm

would cause her to move the kittens to the

backyard. The cat and her kittens were

still in my garden! I needed to harvest

vegetables and herbs. I chased her out

of my garden. I took a gloved hand and

scooted these kittens out of my garden.

Apparently the cat came and got her

kittens. They were not where I placed

them. I installed tall poles at the entrance

to my garden. I hope this addition will

prevent future visits from cats and kittens

in my garden. I would hate to call the

Animal Control Center about the feral

cats and kittens. This may eventually be

my only solution. I already know my Mom

would not like that!

OMNISCIENT ( ALL KNOWING):

Psalms 139:1-2,4,6

[1]O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
[2]You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off.
[4]For there is not a word on my tongue, But behold,
O Lord, You know it altogether.
[6]Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; It is high,
I cannot attain it.

1 John 3:20

For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things.

PRINCE OF PEACE:

Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

And the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Meditate on These Things

QUIETEN SPIRITS, TROUBLED SOULS:

John 14:1,16-17

[1]“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.
[16]And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—
[17]the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.

John 12:27,32,46

[27]“Now My soul is troubled, and what shall I say? ‘Father, save Me from this hour’? But for this purpose I came to this hour.

[46]I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.

RABBONI (TEACHER):

John 20:15-16

[15]Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?” She, supposing Him to be the gardener, said to Him, “Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have laid Him, and I will take Him away.”
[16]Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him, “Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).

SHEPHERDS ARE VALUABLE! PART #1

SHEPHERDESS:

RACHEL

Genesis 29:6-9

[6]So he said to them, “Is he well?” And they said, “He is well. And look, his daughter Rachel is coming with the sheep.”

[7]Then he said, “Look, it is still high day; it is not time for the cattle to be gathered together. Water the sheep, and go and feed them. ”

[8]But they said, “We cannot until all the flocks are gathered together, and they have rolled the stone from the well’s mouth; then we water the sheep.”

[9]Now while he was still speaking with them, Rachel came with her father’s sheep, for she was a shepherdess.

ZIPPORAH & HER SISTERS

Exodus 2:15-17,19,21

[15]When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well.

[16]Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters. And they came and drew water, and they filled the troughs to water their father’s flock.

[17]Then the shepherds came and drove them away; but Moses stood up and helped them, and watered their flock.

[19]And they said, “An Egyptian delivered us from the hand of the shepherds, and he also drew enough water for us and watered the flock.”

[21]Then Moses was content to live with the man, and he gave Zipporah his daughter to Moses.

SOME DWELLERS IN THE WILDERNESS! #1

HAGAR

[7]Now the Angel of the Lord found her ( HAGAR) by a spring of water in the WILDERNESS, by the spring on the way to Shur.

[10]Then the Angel of the Lord said to her, “I will multiply your descendants exceedingly, so that they shall not be counted for multitude.”

Genesis 16:7,10

Genesis 21:13-14

[13]Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he (Ishmael)is your seed.”

[14]So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.

ISHMAEL

Genesis 21:7,13-14, 20-21

[7]She also said, “Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? For I have borne him a son in his old age.” Hagar and Ishmael Depart

[13]Yet I will also make a nation of the son of the bondwoman, because he is your seed.”

[14]So Abraham rose early in the morning, and took bread and a skin of water; and putting it on her shoulder, he gave it and the boy to Hagar, and sent her away. Then she departed and wandered in the Wilderness of Beersheba.

[20]So God was with the lad (Ishmael); and he grew and dwelt in the wilderness, and became an archer

[21]He dwelt in the Wilderness of Paran; and his mother took a wife for him from the land of Egypt. A Covenant with Abimelech.

ISRAELITES

Exodus 3:15, 18

[15]Moreover God said to Moses, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel: ‘The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you. This is My name forever, and this is My memorial to all generations.’

[18]Then they will heed your voice; and you shall come, you and the elders of Israel, to the king of Egypt; and you shall say to him, ‘The Lord God of the Hebrews has met with us; and now, please, let us go three days’ journey into the wilderness, that we may sacrifice to the Lord our God.’

Exodus 14:3,10-12,29,31

[3]For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, ‘They are bewildered by the land; the wilderness has closed them in.’

[10]And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord.

[11]Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?

[12]Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.”

[23]Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took His garments and made four parts, to each soldier a part, and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top in one piece.

[24]They said therefore among themselves, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it, whose it shall be,” that the Scripture might be fulfilled which says: “They divided My garments among them, And for My clothing they cast lots.” Therefore the soldiers did these things. Behold Your Mother.
