33 From Merari came the family of the Mahlites and the family of the Mushites; these were the families of Merari. 
34 And those who were numbered, according to the number of all the males from a month old and above, were six thousand two hundred. 
35 The leader of the fathers’ house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail.

next to them in the land of Bashan as far as Salcah. 


 These were the children of Abihail the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz.

ESTHER 2: 15-16


15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king’s eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. 
16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.

Then Queen Esther, the daughter of Abihail, with Mordecai the Jew, wrote with full authority to confirm this second letter about Purim.
