1 Kings 20:34

Isaiah 7:8

[8]For the head of Syria is Damascus, And the head of Damascus is Rezin. Within sixty-five years Ephraim will be broken, So that it will not be a people.

Isaiah 17:1

[1]The burden against Damascus. “Behold, Damascus will cease from being a city, And it will be a ruinous heap.

 

Ezekiel 47:16-17

[16]Hamath, Berothah, Sibraim (which is between the border of Damascus and the border of Hamath), to Hazar Hatticon (which is on the border of Hauran).

[17]Thus the boundary shall be from the Sea to Hazar Enan, the border of Damascus; and as for the north, northward, it is the border of Hamath. This is the north side.

NEW TESTAMENT:

Acts 9:1-5

[1]Then Saul, still breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord, went to the high priest

[2]and asked letters from him to the synagogues of Damascus, so that if he found any who were of the Way, whether men or women, he might bring them bound to Jerusalem.

[3]As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven.

[4]Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?”

[5]And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.”

Acts 22:6

[6]“Now it happened, as I journeyed and came near Damascus at about noon, suddenly a great light from heaven shone around me.

Galatians 1:17

[17]nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; but I went to Arabia, and returned again to Damascus.
