ENCOUNTER WITH GOD: HEARD HIS VOICE #3

MOSES

1  "Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his

father in law, the priest of Midian: and

he led the flock to the backside of the

desert, and came to the mountain of

 God, even to Horeb."

2. "And the angel of the LORD appeared

unto him in a flame of fire out of the

midst of a bush: and he looked, and,

behold, the bush burned with fire,

and the bush was not consumed."

3.  "And Moses said, I will now turn aside,

and see this great sight, why the bush is

 not burnt."

4.  "And when the LORD saw that he turned

aside to see, God called unto him out of the

midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses.

And he said, Here am I."

6.  "Moreover he said, I am the God of thy

father, the God of Abraham, the God of

Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses

hid his face; for he was afraid to look

 upon God."

9. "Now therefore, behold, the cry of the

children of Israel is come unto me: and

I have also seen the oppression wherewith

 the Egyptians oppress them."

13. "And Moses said unto God, Behold,

when I come unto the children of Israel,

and shall say unto them, The God of your

fathers hath sent me unto you; and they

shall say to me, What is his name? what

shall I say unto them?"

14.  "And God said unto Moses,

I AM THAT I AM:

and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto

the children of Israel, I AM hath sent

 me unto you."

20.  "And I will stretch out my hand,

and smite Egypt with all my wonders

which I will do in the midst thereof:

and after that he will let you go."

Exodus 3:1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 13, 14, 20

22.  "So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea,

 and they went out into the wilderness of Shur;

and they went three days in the wilderness,

 and found no water."

23.  "And when they came to Marah, they could

not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were

bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah."

25.  "And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD

shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into

the waters, the waters were made sweet: there

he made for them a statute and an ordinance,

 and there he proved them."

Exodus 15:22, 23, 25

3.  "And the children of Israel said unto them,

Would to God we had died by the hand of the

LORD in the land of Egypt, when we sat by

the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread

to the full; for ye have brought us forth into

this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly

 with hunger."

4.  "Then said the LORD unto Moses,

Behold, I will rain bread from heaven

for you; and the people shall go out and

gather a certain rate every day, that

I may prove them, whether they will

walk in my law, or no."

28.  "And the LORD said unto Moses,

How long refuse ye to keep my

commandments and my laws?

29.   "See, for that the LORD hath

given you the sabbath, therefore

he giveth you on the sixth day the

bread of two days; abide ye every

man in his place, let no man go

out of his place on the seventh day.

Exodus 16: 3,4, 28, 29

7.  "And the LORD spake unto Moses,

saying,"

8.  "Take the rod, and gather thou the

assembly together, thou, and Aaron

thy brother, and speak ye unto the

rock before their eyes; and it shall

give forth his water, and thou shalt

bring forth to them water out of the rock:

so thou shalt give the congregation and

their beasts drink."

10.  "And Moses and Aaron gathered the

 congregation together before the rock,

and he said unto them, Hear now, ye

rebels; must we fetch you water out

of this rock?"

11.  "And Moses lifted up his hand, and

with his rod he smote the rock twice:

and the water came out abundantly,

and the congregation drank, and their

 beasts also.

12.  "And the LORD spake unto Moses

and Aaron, Because ye believed me not,

to sanctify me in the

eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall

not bring this congregation into the land which

 I have given thee.

28.  "And Moses stripped Aaron of his garments,

and put them upon Eleazar his son; and Aaron

died there in the top of the mount: and Moses

and Eleazar came down from the mount."

Numbers 20:7, 8,10, 11, 12, 28

4.  "And the LORD said unto him, This is the land

which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and

unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed:

I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes,

but thou shalt not go over thither."

5.  "So Moses the servant of the LORD died

there in the land of Moab, according to the

 word of the LORD

6.  "And he buried him in a valley in the land

of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man

knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day."

ENCOUNTER WITH GOD: HEARD HIS VOICE! #2

ABRAM/ABRAHAM

1. "And when Abram was ninety years old and nine,

the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him,

I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be

 thou perfect."

3.  "And Abram fell on his face: and God talked

 with him, saying,"

5.  "Neither shall thy name any more be called

Abram, but thy name shall be Abraham; for

a father of many nations have I made thee."

7.  "And I will establish my covenant between

me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to

be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

22.  "And he left off talking with him, and

God went up from Abraham."

Genesis 17:1, 3, 5, 7, 22

SARAI/SARAH

15.  "And God said unto Abraham, As

for Sarai thy wife, thou shalt not

call her name Sarai, but Sarah

 shall her name be.

16.  "And I will bless her, and give thee

a son also of her: yea, I will bless her,

and she shall be a mother of nations;

kings of people shall be of her."

Genesis 17:15, 16, 17

10.  "And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him."

11.  "Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.

12.  "Therefore Sarah laughed within herself,

saying, After I am waxed old shall I have

pleasure, my lord being old also?"

13.   "And the LORD said unto Abraham,

Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall

I of a surety bear a child, which am old?"

14.  "Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son."

15.  "Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid. And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.

Genesis 18:10, 11, 12, 13, 14

1.  "And the LORD visited Sarah as he had

said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he

 had spoken."

2.  "For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham

a son in his old age, at the set time of which

 God had spoken to him."

 Genesis 21:1, 2

ADAM & EVE

8.  "And they heard the voice of the LORD God

walking in the garden in the cool of the day:

and Adam and his wife hid themselves from

the presence of the LORD God amongst the

trees of the garden."

9.  "And the LORD God called unto Adam,

and said unto him, Where art thou?"

11.  "And he said, Who told thee that thou wast

naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof

I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat?"

12.   "And the man said, The woman whom

thou gavest to be with me, she gave me of

the tree, and I did eat."

13.  "And the LORD God said unto the woman,

What is this that thou hast done? And the

woman said, The serpent beguiled me,

and I did eat."

21.  "Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them."

"Therefore the LORD God sent him forth

from the garden of Eden, to till the ground

 from whence he was taken."

CAIN & ABEL

and bare Cain, and said, I have gotten a man from

 the LORD."

2.  "And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel

was a keeper of sheep, but Cain was a tiller of the ground."

3.  "And in process of time it came to pass, that

Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an

offering unto the LORD."

4.  "And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings

of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the

LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:"

5.  "But unto Cain and to his offering he had not

respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his

countenance fell."

8.  "And Cain talked with Abel his brother:

and it came to pass, when they were in the

field, that Cain rose up against Abel his

 brother, and slew him."

9.  "And the LORD said unto Cain, Where

is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know

not: Am I my brother's keeper?"

10.  "And he said, What hast thou done?

the voice of thy brother's blood crieth

unto me from the ground."

12.  "When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength;

a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be

in the earth."

13.  "And Cain said unto the LORD,

My punishment is greater than

 I can bear."

16.  "And Cain went out from the presence
