ISAIAH 53: 2-5,7, 11-12

2 For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no form or comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no beauty that we should desire Him.
3 3 He is despised and rejected by men,
A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

4 4 Surely He has borne our griefs
And carried our sorrows;
Yet we esteemed Him stricken,
Smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 5 But He was wounded for our transgressions,
He was bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes we are healed.

7He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.


11He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge, My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.
12 12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

HOSEA 6: 2

After two days He will revive us;
On the third day, He will raise us up,
That we may live in His sight.

LUKE 2: 25, 34


25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him.



34 Then Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary His mother, “Behold, this Child is destined for the fall and rising of many in Israel, and for a sign which will be spoken against.

MATTHEW 27: 35-36

35 When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots. 

36 And sitting down, they kept watch over him there. 

 39 Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads 

40 And saying, “You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!” 

41 In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him. 

42 “He saved others,” they said, “but he can’t save himself! He’s the king of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him. 

ACTS 13: 26-29, 32-33

26 “Men and brethren, sons of the family of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, to you the word of this salvation has been sent. 

27 For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they did not know Him, nor even the voices of the Prophets which are read every Sabbath, have fulfilled them in condemning Him. 

28 And though they found no cause for death in Him, they asked Pilate that He should be put to death. 

29 Now when they had fulfilled all that was written concerning Him, they took Him down from the tree and laid Him in a tomb. 

32 And we declare to you glad tidings—that promise which was made to the fathers. 

33 God has fulfilled this for us their children, in that He has raised up Jesus.
