DEUTERONOMY 7: 6

“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.

1 CHRONICLES 29: 1 & 3

1 Furthermore King David said to all the assembly: “My son Solomon, whom alone God has chosen, is young and inexperienced; and the work is great, because the temple is not for man but for the Lord God.

Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver.

MARK 7: 3 & 5-8

3 For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they wash their hands in a special way, holding the tradition of the elders.

5 Then the Pharisees and scribes asked Him (JESUS), “Why do Your disciples not walk according to the tradition of the elders, but eat bread with unwashed hands?”

6 He answered and said to them, “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written:

‘This people honors Me with their lips,
But their heart is far from Me.
7 And in vain they worship Me,
Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’

8 For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do.”

ACTS 19: 11

And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul.

TITUS 2: 11-14

11 For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, 

12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age.

13 Look for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. 

14 Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself His own  special people, zealous for good works.
