GOD IS SO AMAZING 2 ME!

Jordan River is the putative location for the Baptism of Jesus and the ministry of John the Baptist

BIBLE SUBJECT(S): JORDAN RIVER

GENESIS 13: 10-11

10 And Lot lifted his eyes and saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere (before the Lord destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah) like the garden of the Lord, like the land of Egypt as you go toward Zoar.

11 Then Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan, and Lot journeyed east. And they separated from each other.

NUMBERS 32: 32

We will cross over armed before the Lord into the land of Canaan, but the possession of our inheritance shall remain with us on this side of the Jordan.”

NUMBERS 35: 9-11

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
10 “Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan,
11 then you shall appoint cities to be cities of refuge for you...

DEUTERONOMY 3: 20

Until the Lord has given rest to your brethren as to you, and they also possess the land which the Lord your God is giving them beyond the Jordan. Then each of you may return to his possession which I have given you.’

DEUTERONOMY 4: 20-21

20 But the Lord has taken you and brought you out of the iron furnace, out of Egypt, to be His people, an inheritance, as you are this day.
21 Furthermore, the Lord was angry with me (MOSES)  for your sakes, and swore that I would not cross over the Jordan and that I would not enter the good land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.

JOSHUA 1: 2

“Moses My servant is dead. Now, therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel.

JOSHUA 2: 9-11

9 And said to the men: “I (RAHAB) know that the Lord has given you the land, that the terror of you has fallen on us, and that all the inhabitants of the land are fainthearted because of you.
10 For we have heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea for you when you came out of Egypt, and what you did to the two kings of the Amorites who were on the other side of the Jordan, Sihon, and Og, whom you utterly destroyed.
11 And as soon as we heard these things, our hearts melted; neither did there remain any more courage in anyone because of you, for the Lord your God, He is God in heaven above and on earth beneath.
